2012: “Hell year” for IT security

A recent article on MSNBC’s Technolog site asserts that this year is going to be a hellacious one for IT security pros, and a great one for hackers and attackers. It has certainly gotten off to a big start, with prominent “hacktavist” attacks from Anonymous and others as well as hacks of major companies and a proliferation of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. This can be seen as both good news and bad news for IT security professionals. Your services are sure to be in demand – but doing your job is becoming more difficult as the incidence of attacks increases and the attacks themselves get more sophisticated. Read more here:
