Determining Processor Architecture

So you’ve just inherited a bunch of Windows Server 2003 servers from the last guy that worked at this company, and you’re trying to inventory the configuration of each system as the previous guy never kept any records (which is probably why he got fired). How can you determine whether a given server has the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003 installed on it?

Here’s how: open a command prompt and type echo %processor_architecture% and you’ll get x86 or x64 depending on the version of Windows installed.
