Disabling wireless connections when Windows 7 is connects to a LAN

By default, if you have Windows 7 connected to a network over a wireless connection and you then use a cable to connect the computer to a LAN, the wireless connection stays active, which often is not optimal behavior. There is no default way in Windows 7 itself to override this behavior, but there is a free tool called Automatic Wireless Disabler Daemon available from CodePlex which you can use to accomplish this. To download this tool, go to http://awdd.codeplex.com.
