Managing the automatic To-list

Outlook has a useful feature called the Automatic To-List. The way it works is that when you type an email address into the To field of a new message window, the next time you want to send a message to the same person you don’t have to retype the address–just enter the first few letters of the address (or the person’s name) and you’ll see a choice of possible addresses (or names) you can choose from.

Unfortunately, if you type a mistaken email address into the list it stays in there, cluttering up the list. But there’s a way you can remove addresses (or names) from this list–just display the list, use the down arrow key to highlight the name you want to delete, and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
