Simplifying Quota Management with Quota Templates

If physical disk space is a concern on your network then setting disk quotas are a good way to manage how much space a particular user can utilize. Unfortunately, as a network grows in size these may become very hard to manage. That being the case you should look at Quota Templates to help ease administration of disk quotas.

The goal behind a quota template is to allow you to apply groups of settings to folders and volumes quickly. You can create a quota template by opening the File System Resource Manager, expanding the quota management node, right-clicking on the quota templates node, and clicking Create Quota Template. From this dialog you can specify settings such as the quota space limit, whether it is a hard or soft quota, and notification thresholds. Once you have created a quota template it can be applied to any folder or volume you like
