Application security is a big issue, but many companies are making common mistakes when it comes to ensuring that applications are secure, and some of those are based on false assumptions and the failure to take into account changes in the environment where the app is installed (even if the app itself hasn’t changed). A recently released report from Veracode showed that a large percentage of various applications being used by public companies have application weaknesses that can be exploited by hackers.
