A Quick Tip To Find The Security Updates On Server Core

As you know, you can't use GUI tool on Server Core Windows Server 2008. You need to use command line tools to perform any Server Core task. The same also applies to Security Updates. To get a list of all the Security Updates on a Server Core, you need to issue the following command:

 WMIC QFE

To find a specific security update:

WMIC QFE | Find /i "95"
