We’ve had it pounded into our heads that recycling is a good thing, and apparently that has trickled down to the cyber criminals, too. A report from Trend Micro Labs suggests that attackers are reusing old attacks that have been modified slightly to avoid detection and/or to make them more malicious. The top three attack techniques during the first quarter of this year have been “old news”: malvertising, ransomware, and “old school” macro malware.
