Office macros have long been a favorite feature of sophisticated users and attackers alike. The latter loved to misuse them to propagate malware. But that’s not the only Microsoft technology that’s being targeted by the bad guys. Lately they’ve developed a fondness for OLE (object linking and embedding), which allows users to edit content, images, text, etc. from other applications – and sometimes that content can be a dangerous script.
