  1. Mitch, are you aware of any remote access tools that incorporate two or three factor authentication?

All that I’ve come across use passwords only.

  2. I don’t know why no-one ever mentions Atelier Web Remote Commander. I have been using it for years in an enterprise environment.

  3. RemoteUtilities is a new one to me, I will check it out. I use a mix at the moment but want to settle on one that meets all my needs. Pulseway is my main RMM with RDP access (to the machines you license) and in a tight spot Zoho assist has got on to a machine or two. Mostly a VPN and RDP does the job.

  4. Splashtop has two factor authentication, in fact I think is the more secure of all remote admin tools.

You have to be logged on with your splashtop account in order to access a client’s system. This means now one can login, unless owns the email/pass of your splashtop account.
Then you have two additional options you can apply to the above.
    1) A username/pass of the system you are accessing
    2) An additional password you have set as per this system, which can be different from other systems.

So we could call it two factors and a half authentication ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. R-HUB remote support servers is another very good tool which you can add in the above list for remotely accessing computers from anywhere anytime. It is an on premise solution which works from behind the firewall, hence better security.
