Citrix Synergy announcements center on user experience

Citrix just held its annual Citrix Synergy event, where the company made a host of announcements about new products and innovations. And the announcements weren’t just centered on things that the company is working on for some generic time in the future; they all pertained to things that have either launched already or that will launch within the next few months.

Many of the announcements at Citrix Synergy related to experience, choice, and security. Here’s a rundown of some of the new products and innovations that were unveiled at the event.

Citrix Synergy: Changing the user experience

Thanks to a huge increase in the prevalence of mobile technology, both enterprises and individuals are looking for experiences that are intuitive and easy to use in an ever-changing environment. But this has also led to an increase in the number of apps and platforms that are available, causing a complicated experience for users. A big part of Citrix’s goal moving forward is to simplify the experience by unifying and securing all apps and content for all devices. So all of your SaaS, web, mobile, and virtual app experiences will be integrated so you can access them securely and in a way that allows you to work efficiently.

Improving productivity

Another part of creating a better user experience is offering more tools for those users to be productive. So the goal of Citrix Workspace is to offer a productive layer that works across all of an organization’s applications that focus on the end user, rather than the application or task. This end user focused approach allows organizations to reduce context switching, leading to a better experience for those users and more productivity across organizations. Since large enterprises tend to use between 500 and 5,000 applications, this focus can be a real productivity booster.

Agile organization updates

Citrix also made some shifts behind the scenes, particularly with a focus on creating agile Product and Engineering Teams. These teams now utilize a Continuous Deployment delivery model in Citrix Cloud so that the products can constantly evolve with new innovations in a way that’s seamless and easy for users to adopt. The underlying tech is also evolving, with Citrix Analytics making use of machine learning models and UI technologies rapidly moving to React.
