Many companies have hesitated when it comes to putting their applications in the cloud, even when shown that it can save them money – and an oft-cited reason is their concerns about security. According to a survey of informaiton security professionals, though, cloud apps are just as secure as the applications that run on-premises. However – and it’s a big however – that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re secure. New studies show that 75% of those cloud apps don’t meet the criteria of the new EU General Data Protection regulation.
