Dell motherboards shipped with malicious code

Have you put in a replacement motherboard for a Dell PowerEdge  rack server lately? According to this report, the company inadvertently shipped out a “small number” of motherboards for the R310, R410, R510 and T410 models with malware in the embedded server management firmware. Ouch! Dell says they believe any impact on security is “unlikely” but they are supposed to be contacting affected customers. This doesn’t affect new systems. You can read more about it here:
