Dirty Disks: What’s that and what does it mean for cloud security?

This week a research company, Context Information Security, raised some serious questions about cloud security when they found that they were able to exploit a vulnerability related to data separation and gain access to data that had been left on other customers’ “dirty disks.” This happens when the virtual servers or nodes used by different clients are not securely separated, using popular hypervisor software, and “data leakage” occurs.
