Microsoft included what is referred to as “GodMode” in Windows 7. It’s a control panel featuring shortcuts to tasks and settings of all the system components. Instead of having to open the normal Control Panel, choose a component, and then go through the screens to find the desired task or setting, you might be able to scroll through the “GodeMode” window and click on a shortcut that’s takes you directly to it.
To access “GodMode” create a new folder named as you like and then add the following to the folder name:
.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Here are two example folder names:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Advanced Control Panel.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Once named in this format, the period and bracketed string will disappear, leaving just the beginning text. When you open the folder, the “GodMode” control panel will appear.
