Its web site obviously hasn’t been kept up to date, but November 30th was designated back in 1988 as Computer Security Day. It was intended to be an annual event to remind everyone of the importance of securing their networks, computers and data.
Even though the organization that was coordinating it seems to have fallen by the wayside, the goal is more important than ever, so take the opportunity today to help raise awareness – both within your organization and outside it – of the challenging computer security issues that we all face and how we can reduce the risk.
