Issues in ISA Server Fault Tolerance and Load Balancing

Issues in ISA Server Fault Tolerance and Load Balancing

By Thomas W Shinder, M.D.

Last week I had the opportunity to speak about ISA Server high availability options. In that talk I went over some of the primary options available to the ISA Server administrator. Some of these include:

  • The Caching Array Routing Protocol
  • The Windows 2000 NLB
  • The Windows 2003 NLB
  • Hardware Load Balancers
  • RainWall
  • RainConnect

The talk in its entirety, complete with sound, will be made available by RainFinity in the near future. Until then, you might want to review the slide show. If you have any questions on this talk, head on over to the ISAServer.org Messages boards by clicking on this link. Someday I’ll figure out how to stream audio with these PowerPoint presentations and do it on a regular basis :-). Until then, you can head on over to the presentation now.

Let me know if there are topics that you would be interested in hearing 1 hour talks about. If this is a popular request, maybe we can get something set up with me and other ISAServer.org members doing the presentations. Thanks! –Tom.
