How do I set Cluster Log File Size and Log Level?

Although the default Level 3 includes errors, warnings and additional information, but you might want to set log level to 4 or 5 depending on your requirements. If you wish to increase Cluster Log size and capture maximum information in a cluster log file, use Set-ClusterLog PowerShell cmdlet as explained below:

  • Set-ClusterLog -Level 5
  • Set-ClusterLog -Size 2048

Tip: Setting the -Level to 5 records all cluster messages.

Note: Maximum Cluster Log size can be 8-1024 MB and Log Level can be 0-5 levels.
