IAG 2007 SP2 – Publishing the Microsoft CRM 4.0 Outlook Client Access

When IAG 2007 SP2 came out, we all were very happy to hear about the advanced Application Optimizer that enables us to publish CRM 4.0 through the portal. This was great news because in order to get the full end-user experience, you need an SSL VPN gateway that has the application layer intelligence to enable the full Web client feature set. image

From what I understand, only the IAG 2007 SP2 SSL VPN gateway has this intelligence built in. Other SSL VPNs either provide a degraded end-user experience or compromise security to get it to work.

Life was good. But then there were rumbling that “sure, Web client access is great, but what about the Outlook CRM client? What’s up with that!”

Rumbling and grumbling isn’t a good thing. Indeed, Outlook CRM clients should be able to work through the IAG 2007 SP2 SSL VPN gateway.

The good news is that it does! IAG users can use their CRM Outlook client an get all the other usability and security benefits from the IAG SSL VPN gateway.

For detailed instructions on how to get the CRM Outlook client to work, check out Chen Kirsch’s article over at:
