Impostor Syndrome at VMworld EMEA

Last week I went to Barcelona for VMworld Europe. I wasn’t actually working vBrownBag, but did schedule a session which I called Impostor Syndrome – A Tech Trivia Game Show. Impostor Syndrome is something many techies suffer from. Essentially we feel like everyone else knows way more than we do and we’re basically impostors in our jobs. It can be nerve wracking because you’re constantly nervous about being “found out.”

I decided to take back the phrase and make it into a fun game show. There were three contestants: Alastair Cooke, Amy Lewis, and Adam Eckerle. We played several games in the half hour slot I had. Admittedly some worked better than others, but we laughed a lot and it was fun. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to do it again! If you’d like to check it out, find it on YouTube here:
