Improving password management

Everybody already knows that passwords can be the weak link in your network’s security. And we all know that strong passwords greatly decrease the chance of a successful intrusion or attack. But users keep on using passwords that are easy for them to remember, and in many cases that makes them easy for a hacker to crack. When Yahoo announced earlier this month that a file containing Yahoo Voice logon info had been stolen, an analysis of the unencrypted passwords revealed that many people are still “protecting” their accounts with passwords like “123456” or “password.”
