Installing Windows 7 on a different partition or disk

You can use MDT 2010 to install Windows 7 on a disk or partition you specify. To do this, add the following line to the CustomSettings.ini file for your deployment share:

SkipDestinationDisk=NO

This will force the Destination disk pane to display when the Windows Deployment Wizard runs on the target computer. Alternatively, if you are automating your LTI deployment you can set SkipDestinationDisk=YES and then specify values for DestinationDisk, DestinationPartition and DestinationLogicalDrive in your CustomSettings.ini file. Refer to the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Reference for more information on configuring these properties.
