When it comes to IT Security training most companies go with the established players in the market. That is really rather sad as there are quite a few excellent training venues out there. Some of the most promising ones of late would be those found at security conferences such as Black Hat and Can Sec West amongst others. The training tracks offered there are instructed by some of the best minds in the field. One does not always have to go with the same old tired vendors. Not to be ignored either is the option of simply having some custom courseware written for your training needs. This is something that should also be thought of as an alternative. It becomes difficult to find quality training, especially so, when the course matter becomes more complex. An example of this would be reverse engineering. Take your time and look around. It only makes sense to ensure you get maximum bang for your training dollar.
