Love might be in the air today, but on this Valentine’s Day, at least part of that is love of technology. Two major IT-related conferences started this day and will be going on this week. The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, is the place to be for those interested in smart phones and tablets. The recently announced Microsoft/Nokia alliance is a hot topic of conversation there, and there’s also a big focus on enterprise friendly (which means, among other things, more secure) devices. Samsung, for instance, launched an industry-standard security layer for its mobile devices. Find out more here:

Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the twentieth annual RSA Conference is being held at Moscone Center, where the hot topic on day one appears to be that of cyber warfare.
