Manually Deleting a Network Bridge

As you may know, Windows offers a bridge feature where you can select two network connections, right-click and create a Network Bridge. You are supposed to be able to remove or delete the Network Bridge by right-clicking its icon and choosing Delete. Sometimes, though, you may receive an error when doing so, such as "An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Network Bridge”

However, you can manually delete it from Device Manager. Simply select the bridge entry under the Network Adapters section and click Uninstall.

If you have connectivity problems after doing this manual removal, the network adapter’s protocols may still be disabled. On the Network Connections window, right-click the adapter and click Properties. Then enable the desired protocols, or at least TCP/IP, and click Close.
