Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator 2.05

Microsoft released version 2.05 (build 5.2.3790.3392) of iSCSI Software Initiator.

Overview
This is the latest version of the Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator. The Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator enables connection of a Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP host to an external iSCSI storage array. The Microsoft iSCSI software initiator makes it possible for businesses to take advantage of existing network infrastructure to enable block-based Storage Area Networks without having to invest in additional hardware.
Supported architectures include x86, x64/amd64 (both Intel and AMD), and IA64 platforms

Changes since Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator 2.04 release:

  1. Fix to enable crash dump support for iSCSI boot configurations using the Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator 
  2. Fix for handling of Unit Attention Bus reset received, the initiator will now assume that the pending commands are completed. This fix is relevant to MSCS (clustering) & multipathing (MPIO) configs. 
  3. Fixed issue to send Paging path usage notification for some models of network cards which had a problem in iSCSI boot configurations 
  4. On Resets, complete all pending I/Os as long as complete PDU received.
