Microsoft releases FIM 2012 R2

They certainly didn’t make a big deal of it, but Microsoft released the latest version of Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2012 R2 to the public this month. Identity is one of the hottest buzzwords in security these days, so you might think Microsoft would be pushing this new release a little harder. FIM is the latest incarnation of the product formerly known as Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager, which itself was previously called Microsoft Identity Integration Server. Maybe the product is having identity issues. In any any event, the announcement was made in the Server and Tools blog on the Microsoft site, where you can read about the improved functionality in this latest version.
