Google is opensourcing it’s Seesaw loadbalancer product. So the product is now available on GitHub for all to contribute to. Seesaw is written in Google’s newer Go language which has gotten a lot of press lately as well. Of course there are already plenty of load balancers already to choose from, though I’m not sure how many of them are available on GitHub.
This could be pretty cool for people moving their networks over to SDN solutions, especially open SDN solutions. This will allow folks to put in a virtual load balancer without having to buy a proprietary solution like Citrix Netscaler or anything from VMware NSX.
