More security features for Amazon AWS

Amazon AWS announces that data stored on an EBS volume at rest and in motion can now be encrypted by setting a single option. When you create an encrypted EBS volume and attach it to a supported instance type, data on the volume, disk I/O, and snapshots created from the volume are all encrypted. The encryption occurs on the servers that host the EC2 instances, providing encryption of data as it moves between EC2 instances and EBS storage.

Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) provides persistent block level storage volumes for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS Cloud.
