Last month, as 2010 came to an end, TrendMicro compiled a list of the most dangerous technologies of the year (in terms of security risk). This included their picks as the riskiest hardware, software, web sites, OS, social network, top level domain, file format, runtime environment and more. Some of the selections may surprise you – Mac OS X as the riskiest operating system, PDF as the riskiest file format – but in any event, it’s highly likely that users on your network are using at least some of these technologies right now. You might want to rethink your security measures in light of this list.
