Ransomware plays audio file, impersonates FBI

One of the latest variations on the “ransomware” concept – malicious software that exhorts money from victims by telling them they must pay in order to be able to use their computers or applications – plays an MP3 audio file repeatedly informing you that your PC is “blocked” because you’ve violated copyright laws. At the same time, it displays an official-looking page that purports to be that of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and demands payment of $200 USD, through the MoneyPak payment system, to make things right.
