Restore IE default AutoSearch Page

If something changes your default search page, to put it back, go to the
following registry key :

Hive: HKEY CURRENT USER
Key:
Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchUrl

and double click the default entry in the right pane
of registry editor. Enter http://home.microsoft.com/access/autosearch.asp?p=%s in the
Edit String dialog box. Once you restart your PC, IE’s default search page
should be back.

This should work for IE under NT, W2K, XP and later versions of Windows.
