If you’ve disabled User Account Control (UAC) and use Windows Gadgets, you might notice they’ve disappeared. This is to help stop any malicious unsigned gadgets since UAC isn’t active. But if you’re sure you don’t have any unsafe gadgets installed, you can reactivate Windows Gadgets by adding this Registry entry:
