If your WDS server gets into a state where it can’t be started, you can use the WDSUTIL utility to restore WDs to its initial state by running the following command from an elevated command prompt:
Wdsutil /uninitialize-server
Next, re-initialize the service by running this command:
Wdsutil /initialize-server
Then configure WDS settings as needed for your environment.
