Security professionals in short supply
The bad news (for corporate and government networks) is that there's a shortage of trained and talented professionals in the computer security field, according to a number of industry experts who recently spoke at the Reuters Media and Technology Summit in New York:
The good news (for security professionals) is that this shortage means your skills are in demand, at a time when attackers are becoming more brazen and more sophisticated.
And if you don't have all the credentials you need, it may become easier to get that training. The NSA is involved in creating new programs at U.S. universities to train potential cybersecurity experts for jobs in intelligence, the military and law enforcement.
