Specifying the boot image order in Windows Deployment Services

You want to specify the order in which boot images are displayed when using Windows Deployment Services. To do this, you will need to understand that the boot menu order is by the filename of the boot image .wim files. So you'll need to name your boot image .wim files according to the order in which you want them to be displayed in the boot menu, for example:

  1. 01-Win7boot.wim
  2. 02-VistaSP2boot.wim
  3. and so on.
