Survey says: Corporate and government PCs are infected

It’s only the “little guys” – consumers and small businesses – who are at risk for malware infections, right? Big corporations and government entities have sophisticated security systems that protect their PCs from such mundane threats, right? Maybe not. A recent survey conducted by Bit9 showed that 45 percent of companies found uauthorized software on more than half of their client computers, putting the entire network at risk. Only 68 percent had software restrictions in place and 39 percent don’t even have a usage policy prohibiting employees from downloading and installing software. Ouch!
