This month, Tegile, a hybrid storage vendor based in Newark, CA, released news about its FlashPack initiative, which features a reference architecture. This reference architecture includes:
- Tegile’s Zebi HA2100 arrays.
- Cisco Unified Computing System B200 M3 servers.
- Cisco Nexus 5000 switching hardware.
- VMware View 5.1.
Tegile’s reference architecture incudes hardware that provides full inline deduplication and compression, which the company boasts can reduce storage requirements for VDI by up to a whopping 83%.
VDI architectures can be notoriously difficult to configure and ensure constant performance. Tegile’s FlashPack reference architecture provides a complete roadmap to help organizations deploy 1,000 VDI endpoints in a configuration that has already undergone significant testing.
