For those who don’t understand the ISA and TMG firewalls, they might wonder if the firewall is a good choice to meet PCI compliance. I say it depends. Sometimes you might want to consider a plug in to make it work the way you want it to work as part of your PCI compliance efforts.
Hyperguard provides one such plug-in.
It’s nice to see that there are some ISVs working with the TMG firewall. I remember when ISA 2000 came out, it seemed as if there were dozens of ISVs. Over time, they slowly fell away to only a handful.
Perhaps with the success of the TMG firewall, those ISVs will reappear. We can only hope.
