Using site-linked GPOs

Since Active Directory sites are defined by networking settings (subnets), you will generally only want to use site-linked GPOs to configure network-related policy settings for computers at the site.

Some examples of policy settings that might be configured in a site-linked GPO include:

  • Wireless networking policies
  • Public-key security policies
  • Internet Explorer proxy server configuration policies
