Veeam’s backup and recovery tool has been a boon for many organizations and was one of the first virtualization-focused tools on the market. The Standard edition provides basic backup and recovery while the Enterprise and Enterprise Plus editions provide advanced features, such as virtual lab replicas and one-click restore. Enterprise Plus adds the ability to backup from storage snapshots as well as self-service recovery.
In version 7, Veeam has also added native tape support to the backup and recovery tool. In the past, organizations had to use a third party backup tool in order to be able to use tape. With v7, this is no longer the case.
Veeam version 7 also provides Veeam Explorer for Exchange and Veeam Explorer for SharePoint, both which enable very simple single item restore from their respective products.
