VMware Workspace ONE gets pair of new innovations

VMware just announced some updates meant to improve the experience of its VMware Workspace ONE platform, a digital workspace service that’s available for both cloud and on-premises deployments.

The updates include two major areas of innovation: Workspace ONE Intelligence and Workspace ONE Trust Network. These new technologies are the driving factors behind what the company is calling the industry’s first intelligent digital workspace. However, the changes aren’t just about technology. The company is also touting the new capabilities as major game changers for enterprises and their employees due to the way they improve and shape experiences between IT administrators and end users. Here’s more about the new features and what they can offer to organizations and individuals.

VMware Workspace ONE Intelligence

The update includes new intelligence technology that is meant to help IT pros leverage AI technology within the digital workspace. Workspace ONE Intelligence is a cloud-based software that gives IT the ability to monitor endpoints, apps, and operating system performance while also automating responses aimed at improving the performance and security of the enterprise’s system. Within the platform, there’s a “decision engine” that basically lets the IT administrator create rules and automate common tasks meant to make life easier for end users within the organization. These can include things like patch updates, access controls, and alerts that can be time consuming and wasteful.

VMware Workspace ONE Trust Network

Another update to the platform includes some innovations to help organizations with their cybersecurity initiatives. This feature is known as the Workspace ONE Trust Network. Essentially, it extends Workspace ONE Intelligence and the platform’s APIs to a network of leading security providers. The list includes Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Cylance, Lookout, McAfee, Netskope, and Symantec. So with this update, you can connect to security solutions from trusted providers directly within the Workspace ONE platform in order to easily improve security in the digital workspace.
