What's Next for Next Gen Firewalls?

We've been hearing the same old refrain for a decade: Firewalls are obsolete, the perimeter is dead. But like that of Mark Twain, the firewall's death has been greatly exaggerated. According to Gartner's estimates, the global market in firewalls is expected to grow to $9.7 billion by 2017.

This, however, is not your father's firewall. New firewalls are integrated security devices that do much more than just "block ports."
