Along with reliability, security is one of the biggest concerns and obstacles to the adoption of cloud computing by both businesses and individuals, according to many surveys on the subject. Cloud computing is usually based on a virtualized environment, so new security technologies that bring more security to virtualization will help to enhance the security of cloud computing, as well. Researchers have been hard at work, trying to solve the problem, and researchers funded by the U.S. Army Research Office and the NSF have come up with a solution called HyperSafe that helps to secure hypervisors from attack.
