The prizewinner will be able to take as many IT training courses and exams as they want, for the rest of their life, for free. The prize includes all training fees, exam fees, course books, food and accommodation**, and if they want to – as long as they pay for the travel – they can take the training in any of Firebrand’s training centres across Europe.
The prize could be worth more than £1 million to the winner, and could even earn them five times that (£5.3 million***) in salary over their lifetime, if you take into account pay rises they could achieve by taking the training. As Frank Højgaard, Managing Director reveals “At Firebrand we train everyone from apprentices straight out of college, through to consultants on £100k+ a year salaries at the leading edge of IT. We’ve estimated that the winner will increase their earning power by more than 3x over their lifetime with a winner in their twenties earning more than £5million over their lifetime compared to around £1.6million without the training.”
Frank added: “And that’s using a very conservative estimate on salary increases. A recent EU survey shows that instead of falling during the recession, IT jobs have been growing by 3% across the board, and are set to continue to rise. However, even with the increase in numbers, the EU estimates that by 2015 there will be a shortfall of 700,000 IT-trained staff. As far as we’re concerned there’s never been a better time to be in IT and to win IT training for life.”
Choose from hundreds of Firebrand courses
The lucky winner will have lots of choice as Firebrand runs more than 165 courses, from Microsoft Windows, Windows Server and IT support courses, through to Cisco, Oracle, Lean Six Sigma and PRINCE2. There’s even a course where you can learn to become a Certified Ethical Hacker.
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16, living in the European countries where Firebrand operates: UK; DACH (Germany, Switzerland, Austria); Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland); and Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg).
Share and get more chances to win
To be in with a chance of winning, entrants just need to go to the FTFL section of the Firebrand website www.firebrandtraining.co.uk/ftfl and fill in the simple entry form.
Once the entry form is completed the entrant will receive a unique URL that they can share with their friends or followers. Each time the unique URL is used by another entrant, the sharer will receive another entry in the competition. E.g. If the entrant gets 100 friends and followers to enter their details, they will get 100 additional chances to win. If they only get 15 they only get 15 extra chances.
The closing date for entries is 23:59 GMT, Sunday 1st September 2013; and the winner will be announced at 13:13 GMT, Friday 13th September 2013.
