Amazon’s Cloud VPN additional features

Amazon’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) include route tables and gateways features, that allow you to both extend your organization’s network to Amazon’s Cloud, and connect your VPC to the Internet and leverage the benefits of Amazon EC2. In addition, you can create VPNs using devices that do not support BGP. Some firewalls and entry-level routers support IPSec but not BGP. These devices are very popular in corporate branch offices. Here is a list of VPN devices that Amazon tested for dynamic and statically routed VPN connections.

Also, for those Amazon customers who wish to know how to set up a Weighted Round Robin DNS setup using Route 53, in order to be able to perform load balancing/testing procedures can do so through Amazon’s AWS graphical console.
