According to IntelCrawler, a cyber-intelligence firm from Los Angeles, a multi-stage spear phishing attack was used against CNN and Turner employees to gain further unauthorized access to compromised CNN blogs, as well as some third party publishing platforms based on WordPress and Hootsuite.
