A research into the forensic analysis of smartphone factory reset functions by ADISA (Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance) and published at Informationsecuritybuzz.com reveals some interesting results. A factory reset function on BlackBerry and Apple devices is sufficient while, on certain Android devices it is not which mean that user data can still be recovered.
