AT&T security breach affecting iPad users

If users in your organization own iPads and have their company email addresses associated with them, those addresses could have been divulged in a recent security breach, by which the email addresses of more than 100,000 iPad users were exposed. Although other data was not compromised, the breach spawned an investigation by the FBI – no doubt because many U.S. government officials were among those whose email addresses were exposed.

The vulnerability that was exploited existed in the AT&T web site used by iPad customers. Those using the wifi-only version of the iPad who don’t have AT&T 3G accounts for it are not at risk, since the vulnerability is not in the iPad itself. Some security experts have recommended that those who fall into the at-risk category may want to change their email addresses. You can read more about this here:;title
