A recent study shows that although the total number of malicious bots – web robot software that runs automated tasks – has actually dropped over the past year, the proportion of bad bots to good has increased. Bots are responsible for more than half of the Internet traffic (56%) and bad bots account for about 29%. But that’s not all – the bad bots are getting better at being bad. They’re more sophisticated and more difficult to detect.
